I live on a very large urban lot. I fact my yard is two and a half lots. It would be nice not have to mow, but how do you keep
Goats out of your garden and eating everything. Plus just having
a dog as big as a goat keeps me busy cleaning up the yard.
Bob, there's a house up the road from me - on Heywood Hill Road. It is brown stone and has a double front yard - the old folks died and I think one of the sons moved in. He bought in sheep - not big wooly sheep but these tiny brownish hair sheep. They are the best darn lawnmowers I've ever seen - not sure if he ever mows. They are about oh, 2 feet tall at the back, they don't appear to be rambuncious as goats which will climb on your car, picnic tables, trees, chairs, tables and jump like deer. You would have to cross the fence part of your yard but these animals don't look like they would go over a 3 foot 2 X 3 weld wire - no milking, I don't know how loud they bleep - but goats can be noisy and demanding - I dearly love goats as pets but they require a good fense - electric won't keep them in.
ReplyDeleteCheck them out - take 75 south to 117 to Sapulpa. Drive to gas station and turn left on Heywood Hill Road - they are about 1/4 mile on left in dark brown house with huge tree in yard - has a fence that divides the yard in a sweeping shape. Chainlink fense but that's always been there.
